The Initiatives & Few Reasons

Hi there, we are here again to post something new regarding the epidemic of baby dumping in Malaysia. All of those statements below are taken from one local magazine, which fortunately focusing on the issue of "problematic girls being sheltered by NGOs in Malaysia".

There are so many NGOs giving shelter to those problematic girls out there including those who dumped babies and being pregnant. For instance, "Kewaja" is one of the rehabilitation centre for those problematic girls especially those who are pregnant without any legal relationship. Here those 'girls' are trained with few skills, so that they will be able to get job easily once they are out from this centre. There are few reasons especially for those who had dumped their babies. Why they did this immoral activity?

For instance, Halwani Idris, 23 (not real name), from Kuala Terengganu, supposed to graduate in Accountancy to change her own live and family. But then, during her final year of the course, she met a businessman who was working at the market and having a relationship. She was being influenced by this boyfriend, to sleep over and making that "intercourse" without married. Few months later, she found out that she was pregnant. Not to abort it, but to continue being pregnant. The ignorance of her family, once she gave birth, made her to decide to 'dump' her new born baby. This made her traumatic and being sent to Kewaja by an anonymous.

So here, who are we going to blame for this immoral activity? Is it still the media? If it is media, why can't the 'audience' be literate enough to choose what to watch and which to ignore. They are suppose to know what is  good and bad since they know all about religious knowledge/stuffs. Why are they still letting television 'cultivating' their mind with those 'unhealthy' activity (cultivation theory, communication theories? So think about it.

Who To Blame?

From the title itself, for sure there's a lot of things come up in your mind about who to blame for the accelerating epidemic of baby dumping in Malaysia. But can we think the major factor that led to this epidemic. Yes... this epidemic happened from a sexual intercourse activity during illegal relationship between man and woman or "boy" or "girl". But, there's something rise up in our mind. Who or What makes the "illegal couple" made the 'intimate activity'?? Is it because of their own desire? If it is their desire where does the desire come from?? The below statement does not mean that we are pointing out to those authority mentioned below but it is placed here in this post just to share and of course get your opinions about it :

Baby dumping; One of the factor that led to this epidemic is the role of media. How far media contributed much to this epidemic in Malaysia?

So, from the statement above, we would like for all of you out there to come up with opinions, whether you agree or disagree that media is the major factor that led to the epidemic of baby dumping which scares the society and the government.
